A Healing Journey Counseling & Consultation offers individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults. We also provide counseling for couples, and families. Clinicians are trained in several different therapy applications including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  A Healing Journey Counseling & Consultation offers a full DBT treatment program including individual therapy and DBT Skills Groups.

Georgia H.O.P.E. 
Georgia Hope is a private counseling agency for those who struggle
with mental health, behavior problems, or substance abuse.  We serve
children, adolescents and adults who have some form of Georgia Medicaid
(Wellcare, Peachstate, Amerigroup). 

We also serve children who do not have insurance.  

Georgia H.O.P.E. provides in-home assessments, individual,
family, and group counseling, anger/stress management, parenting skills,

Beth McArdle, LCSW, primary focus is with couples and family, individual therapy with adolescents and adults, with solution focused techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as Christian counseling.
Pam Crowe, LPC, mainly focuses on working with adults and couples focusing on trauma, adjustment, and anxiety.
Susan Geddes, LPC works with adolescents (we worked together at Devereux as well, psychiatric facility for troubled teenagers), adults, and couples. She also focuses on depression and anxiety.
Claudia Adams, LPC, mainly sees children and adolescents utilizing play therapy. She does incorporate parenting sessions as needed.


STS accepts all major insurance (BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, etc.) including Medicare, and Medicaid's CMO programs. Currently Chris does sliding scale private pay mainly as he begins to work towards getting on insurance panels.  We all do private pay sliding scale as needed as well.

Hopes Corner is designed to stabilize children/adolescents and families in the least restrictive environment, to assist in crisis resolution and to provide a comprehensive community crisis plan for stabilization that utilizes the child’s/family’s strengths, natural supports and community resources. We are designated as an Emergency Receiving unit, meaning we take both voluntary and involuntary individuals.

  • Youth ages 13-17 with Substance Related disorders or Co-occurring disorders

Eagle Ranch Christian Children's Home
Admission Guidelines
The children's program at Eagle Ranch generally admits children with mild to moderate emotional and/or behavioral problems, such as depression, anxiety, oppositional/defiant behavior, lying, stealing, school conduct problems, academic underachievement, poor social skills, anger management, poor self-image, etc. Children and teens exhibiting more at risk behavior or severe problems will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Child
  • ·         Boys, aged 8 - 16, and girls, aged 8- 17.
  • ·         Minimum IQ of 70.
  • ·         Mild to moderate emotional and/or behavioral problems.
  • ·         Must have family involvement with potential for reunification. 
  • ·         Must have family (birth, adoptive, foster) to live with on weekends home & breaks (school holidays, several weeks during the summer, etc.).
  • ·         Must be able to function in a public school, although grades 6-9 will be educated on-campus. 
  • ·         Should live within an 80-mile radius of Eagle Ranch (Gainesville area).
  • ·         No alcohol or drug dependency.
  • ·         No history of sexual offending behavior or sexual perpetration.
  • ·         No active suicidal or homicidal threats, ideation, or behavior (if history of suicidal or homicidal threats, ideation or behavior, a review of psychiatric/hospital records will determine appropriateness of placement at Eagle Ranch. 
  • ·         Average length of stay is 12 - 24 months.
  • ·         Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis

BHA provides affordable, high quality care for uninsured and under-served families of Bartow County and the surrounding community. Everyone receives compassionate care regardless of your ability to pay. Each patient is able to choose a primary care provider who works directly with you to address your medical, specialty care and behavioral health care needs. The same health care professional can also provide care for your entire family. Through this approach, you are able to develop a relationship and partnership, addressing your needs. You may qualify for reduced fee services based on your income and family size. 
Office Visits $45 cash, sliding fee scale based on income, and are due at the time of visit.

Our program guides families as they rise above homelessness and poverty to become independent. We provide transitional housing to homeless families with children, offering the stability and safety that they need to prosper. Parents are assigned a case manager to help them overcome the barriers they face on their way towards independently supporting their family. Services include job coaching, financial management instruction, assistance with child care, transportation and any other need required by the family.

Rejuvenate Hope is funded by a grant from the Division of Family and Children's Services and managed in partnership with Highland Rivers Health and The Washington Group. Our focus is on training and deploying Christian mentors to assist parents in our communities who have temporarily lost custody of their children in part to their struggles with substance abuse.

Anyone requiring non-emergency transportation is eligible to ride Bartow Transit. Children five and under must be in a car-seat and Transit does not provide these accommodations.  You must be at least 17 years of age to ride without a parent.
How much does it cost to ride Transit?
$1 per trip for ages six and above.  $5.00 per trip to Rome, Ga.  $2.50 per trip from Acworth to Adairsville, Ga.

When should I call for transportation?
To request a ride call 770-387-5165 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  It is recommended you call at least 24 hours in advance.  You must call before 2:30 for next day service.  
Spaces are limited reservations are required.

You must give the dispatcher your name, address, telephone number, date and time of your appointment and the address of your destination. Bartow County Transit does not run routes on Saturday or Sundays, and is closed on normal holidays observed by the Bartow County Government.

Passengers should be ready 1 hour before the scheduled pick-up time and be at a main entrance or curbside if weather permits.  The driver is allowed to wait five minutes before proceeding to the next destination.
 
If a Bartow County Transit driver arrives and you are not home or you fail to cancel become a "no show". You are allowed three "no shows" before your riding privileges will be suspended for a period of 30 days.
 You should call the Transit office no later than one hour before your scheduled time to cancel the appointment.  Failure to call would result as a "no show".
